(getting heated about this (again, not AT you) - GG was a man - a clever, funny, sharp elbowed man, with flaws and error and all that. He wasn't a Science God immune from a need for food, income, a place to live) what a goofus statement - he didnt need tenure!?

HE DID HAVE A LIFETIME POSITION in the Mediceian court as philosopher and mathematician for Cosimo II, so really, he *did* have tenure in the sense of a permanent position

also: isnt the point to help students determine what a supplied title might be, the concept of creator, differentiation, etc??? sorry.
