MAGA is now predictably trying to blame Democrats for TikTok shutting down.

1) It was a bill passed by Congress.

2) More Republicans than Democrats voted to ban the app.

It’s important to be clear that TikTok could have stayed up through the inauguration. Joe Biden said he’d not enforce the law.

They made a choice to shut down and display a pro-Trump message. They weren’t forced to.

Let’s be clear: the whole thing is a con. TikTok could’ve kept the app rolling on Sunday but by shutting down & mentioning Trump, he gets to be the savior. One of many examples of companies & billionaires bowing down.

It’s BS. But it’s also the reality. Let’s not give Trump anymore opportunities 👍🏾
