On the one hand, these purported comments by an HHS secretary about CDC staff are astonishing. On the other, they echo much of what RFK Jr. has said publicly in the past.

Eagle-eyed @helenbranswell.bsky.social notes that, while RFK Jr. accepted an advisory panel's rec to drop thimerosal from flu vaccines, he has NOT accepted a rec that everyone 6 months and older get an annual flu shot.

That is still “under review,” HHS says.
