Canada needs a community rating system to tame rising flood costs
While a national flood insurance program can close the protection gap for high-risk homes, unless communities take steps to reduce their exposure, costs will only escalate.

Amazing @tyolsen.bsky.social. Whether it's municipalities taking advantage of weak provincial land-use rules to develop in high risk zones, or the federal government funding rebuilding in the same areas, there is always someone else to blame.
