Darren Jones said this morning that the OBR commentary on their report is not usually provided but was given upon request by the Treasury Committee (who have apparently never asked for such before).

I think they’d be supporting Scotland mate; best supporters in the world. Let’s hope most of our matches are in Canada and Mexico eh. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I have Scottish chums who are worried that the ESTA application requirement, re entry to the USA, to notify the authorities of their social media profiles, will mean that they’ll be refused entry for the World Cup because of their postings about Trump. Thoughts…?

Gas plants sell power in a flexible, short-run balancing market.
Consumer-facing prices reflect cheaper renewable/nuclear power instead of being set by gas.
Impact:
✔ Could lower wholesale prices by 20–40% because gas no longer sets the clearing price.
✔ Encourages investment in low-carbon power.

1. Split the Market (Electricity Market Split / Market Zoning / Two-Market System)
Separate “firm/cheap” generation (renewables, nuclear) from “variable/expensive” gas generation.
How it works
Low-marginal-cost generators (wind, solar, nuclear, hydro) sell power in a long-term, fixed-price market.

Dale, call Sheila Foggarty on LBC, she’s talking about this now and has no understanding of it…

What about addressing marginal cost pricing in the energy market Dale? That would curb inflation, ease household finances and encourage growth, in due course increasing the tax take and improving public finances?

Morning Octopus, can you explain why you are still billing me when I lived my account over a month ago. I have emailed but received no response, so I hope social media does the trick.

Badenoch went to a girls school so how she managed to get a boy expelled for cheating is a bit beyond me.

Are these not legitimate Ukrainian targets Anton? Can you get some naval drones to the vicinity?

I think the prisoners should be exchanged by weight! - would highlight the appalling treatment inflicted by the Russians, returning malnourished, emaciated Ukrainian warriors.

Why would anyone listen to Nick, when he’s so poorly informed that he thinks Tulsi Gabbard is a bloke working for the Iranian regime? Deary me.

Phone James O Brien at LBC Dale. He’s talking about this now.

Keep fighting the good fight Dale. Eventually the message will get through and the govt will be forced to act.

Excellent question in PMQ's yesterday Helen though it was disappointing to hear the PM's mealy mouthed answer.
