The metamorphosis of the common Proto wrench…

A bronze casting I picked up this last weekend at an estate sale (half price day) and an early photo of my maternal Great Grandmother, her name was Claire but everyone called her “Babe,” she was a weaver and textile designer. I think she was 17 or 18 years old in this portrait. 🫀

I’ve spent the snowy days indoors, avoiding mouth breathers and snake oil salesmen.

Between the flare ups I’ve managed to revamp this workspace into something closer to usable.

Next to tackle the sell offs and the home improvement materials. #toolhoarder

Well, as I keep my outdoor travels to a new low, I’m generally staying home and fixing up some things.

I sorted and started soaking a giant pile of vintage skeleton keys, then cleaned and honed 3 sets of shears, then cleaned some parts off of this old jewelers ball vise, from 1892. Productive day!

Earlier I read someone comparing FYP withdrawals to the GenX “lead paint stare” and honestly…

It’s fucking hilarious.

Found myself scrolling through YouTube shorts last night so I could get a small “doom fix.”

I suspect that this is somehow akin to how a heroin addict feels when they go to the methadone clinic.

State sanctioned drugs are never as fun.

Nothing beats the blues for me like sorting a dead man’s toolbox.

You can really learn a lot about a person, especially one who wasn’t allowed to show their authentic selves to anyone.

I see your fear, and it’s not brave, it’s ugly.

Your INDIFFERENCE is too. 🫀🐦‍⬛

Admittedly, I’m going through IG withdrawal today, I miss my friends and their photos of art and tools. I’m also missing tool groups on FB…

I just ate an entire bag of almonds like when I quit smoking, it didn’t help much.

I did pick up this 1930’s Kennedy machinist box full of tools for $30 /win

I’m remembering back to when Trump cons were making fun of Dems for believing Biden’s promise of Student Loan forgiveness.

Biden for all his flaws, got $188.8 billion in loans forgiven, yet Mango Mussolini can’t even lower the price of eggs and gas.

Sold out for too little and still got fucked. 😏

I love supporting the communities around me! So, if you are a person or company that wants real images. Reach out to see how we can work together.
Corporate portraits? Yes. Commercial photography? Yes. I will travel all over to do what I love!

So this is how democracy dies, to thunderous applause. 💔😞

Yesterday I downloaded Twitter/X just to delete my profile. I hadn’t logged into it for several years because the effort was too much.

Personally, I see going through the account recovery process as the ultimate form of anger.

Nobody wants to go through that, and you’re truly pissed if you do. 🫀

Enjoying my first day without the absolute trash that is IG & FB in my life…

I can definitely get used to this! 🫀🐦‍⬛

Last week I had the privilege of handing out some pointers.
I hope it helped.

Haven’t been tool hunting much these days, since I needed to pick up my eldest child before her return home to Hawaii, I took advantage.
Delta Retirement Light, EC Sterns Scraper, small hand vise and a Plomb Los Angeles auto body spoon.

A recent test print of a Luchador linocut I recently did. It’s not perfect, but that makes me happy because each is slightly different and unique.

There will be more…
