One year ago: Our Kansai Region trip - Osaka, Kyoto, Himeji, Kinosakionsen, Tottori, Nara, Mt. Yoshino, Amanohashidate, etc. 🤩

I reviewed #SouthofMidnight for @polygon.com. It has an engrossing story and dark themes, as well as concepts (mysticism and folk legends) that were relatable... even though I live 9,000 miles away from the Bible Belt. Unfortunately, combat was pretty underwhelming. www.polygon.com/review/55184...

I reviewed Dynasty Warriors: Origins for @polygon.com. As someone who's been a huge fan of Romance of the Three Kingdoms (as well as DW and other game adaptations) for over 20 years, this bold new take on a long-standing formula is as refreshing as it gets.
