I've been watching a lot of Super Mario World speedruns and realized that many of the Koopalings' names are extremely outdated references. Does anyone under 40 even know who Roy Orbison, Wendy O. Williams, or Morton Downey Jr. are? Some younger gamers weren't even born while any of them were alive.

I'm always surprised when people hear "board game" and are still stuck on Monopoly or Trivial Pursuit. Over 500 new board games were on sale at GenCon this past weekend. The average non-gamer probably thinks there haven't been 500 new board games released over the past 20 years.

For some reason I am more tired and sore after Tekko than other longer cons where I walk more. I blame the concrete floor.
I didn't even do any con programming, just the expo hall and game room, played Magic and mahjong, and saw some birds, cats, and snakes (each in their own separate area).
