I almost want to apply for this grant. My proposal would basically outline every single negative and destructive thing that "GenAI" is about and how I'd use the money to ensure that everyone knows about it. CELT is the @torontomet.bsky.social Centre for Excellence in Learning & Teaching.

Introducing Studio RE/Lab's Ukulele Quintet. I'm loaning these to students to practice with on campus until the end of the term. Thanks to @longandmcquade.bsky.social for the deal on the 3 Denvers.

Those that live to please must please to live. META seems to have pissed off investors as much as it has pissed off users.

Cable Guy. I just finished unpacking over 180 cables that arrived from L&M. My hands hurt. But I'll never be out of cables again.
This is the second bunch. The other bunch was long XLRs and long 1/4". Lord have mercy when we plug all this into stuff.

Happy with this desoldering job of removing a 40 year old battery from a device. Now have to get new parts to put a new one in.

I spent yesterday sawing office furniture in half, and cleaning up the mess.

Acoustic panels reinstalled in my office, after dusting and scrubbing a decade of grime off the blinds, and installing the window film. Street noise is almost gone.

Rebuilt the nut on my first guitar, an Ibanez Roadstar II that got in 1983. Terrifying experience, but it had to be done. Bone dust and very low viscosity cyanoacrylate glue. It's back. Better than ever.

Three otherwise useless wobbly HOSA 19" racks now solid as a rock through the application of a bit of Unistrut. No more rocking in the studio!

I'm guessing this is sacrilege. I only paid $120 for the whole guitar, so I can afford to take a risk. Can't learn without taking chances. Neck is 21-22mm thick. I'll reduce it to 18-19mm. Folks say that 17mm is minimum, but I don't know how deep the truss rod is, I'll stop at 18mm. Should be FAST.
