I switched to TaxAct a few years ago and it's done well for me. Wife and I both have sole proprietorship business earnings and expenses, so it works for decently complicated taxes.

If wage data here is artificially inflated wages, then the gap would be even larger than it appears on the chart, which underlines the point that prices rose faster than wages, causing an affordability gap.

It's from Statista using BLS data.

This could have something to do with it, especially if we look at the larger size of the gap going into the election year.

Thank heavens someone finally has the vision to make the White House tacky.

Works for me!

I promise you I will send you a picture of me at that moment with the caption "I was wrong."

Honestly, I have the same question about a permanent sign. Who was unclear on what was there?

Perfect! See how easy it is? We have a president and a professor! Now we just need a vaguely academic name! And $100 million!
November 5, 2025 at 8:26 PM
I mean, I was hoping you were providing the $100 million. But if you're not, you're absolutely in as a distinguished professor of opinion writing.

Yep, but it's cheaper than educating students. Give me a $100 million grant, and I'll get a few friends to churn out think-pieces until the end of time.

No, seriously, give it a try. I'm totally ready for this.

I think you have to evaluate the goal of the university in question. Do they want to provide a good education to an ever-growing body of intellectually curious students, or do they want to be a content farm that provides a faux-academic imprimatur to poorly sourced and badly thought-out theories?

Another vote for Reading Market Terminal. Definitely go there a lot. But don't miss Chinatown restaurants, which are right by the convention center. I also had a fantastic breakfast at the Green Eggs Café.

I guess "Mamdani to fill NYC with people who want to be there" is not as catchy.

You have my hand mix--I mean, my sword.

Is this close enough (especially the ending)?

Revelation 9:20 The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk.
