I have lively, healthy discussions with people who considers themselves on the right all the time.

There’s usually no racist vibe from the people I talk to. If there is, there are ways of questioning it that I believe helps them see their antiquated view points for what they are.

Healthy debate is possible, but, like anything, you first have to believe it can happen.

Healthy : “indicative of, conducive to, or promoting good health.”

There exists no one on the right who are healthy-minded? No one from the right to discuss the issues with whatsoever? I know we’re all still raw from the election, but I believe, for the sake of democracy, we need to be more hopeful that a bridge can be rebuilt.

As I said, a “healthy debate.” Not the hypothetical debate you mention nor your response above, both of which are just pointless antagonism. Surely you know the difference.

Agreed! And they do exist.

It’s a new platform and product. It’s going to take time if the goal is to rebuild Twitter. Or even make a better platform altogether!

I do wish there was more opportunity for healthy debate between left and right.
