Paul, that's why you look at the whole picture, so that you can address the factors that facilitated the addtional support the AfD recieved. Factors, like Musks numerous efforts to "influence" the election and examining the demographics in closer detail to see how ppl were or were not influenced.

Ditto, and yes the CDU is still a conservative party. It just makes it even more important to keep aware of their actions, not we should ever slacken our awarenss of any political party activities.

All we can do is support the german people if they need us. In the mean time, the best thing we can do is continue to resist Musk & Trumps "influence". In Canada, that means working to ensure we reject Poilievre, in Mexico it means supporting Pres. Sheinbaum & other leaders around the world.
