Dude, LEAD WITH THIS THEN, rather than this “everyone chill out, nothing’s gonna happen” vibe. People are rightfully alarmed and looking for something they can do and you opening with “isn’t Bannon a clown?” isn’t the response folks are looking for.

And maybe dial down your identity politics FFS and stop assigning motivations to people based on their gender identities. Folks who are concerned about this possibility aren’t going “belly up”, dick. “That’s not gonna happen” isn’t exactly a plan and a failure of imagination is how we got here.

Chill yo. No one here is looking for a “reason to not show up”, rather preparing for possibilites. This notion that it’s going to be attempts to “lock down a location” are myopic. A few random roving vehicles of ice agents pulling hassling brown voters near polls may be enough to depress turnout.

How about Austin, San Antonio, Tulsa, Kansas City etc.? IE Blue voting congressional districts in Red States whose governors will probably support ICE deployments to “high risk” locations, cities with only 100-200 polling stations. How many ICE agents at a poll will it take to scare off POC voters?

I’m aware that anarchy doesn’t equal violence or destruction at a philosophical level, but the association is pretty commonplace, and combined with some other elements of the piece the less erudite could easily interpret this as an invite to turn out to start trouble for reasons I stated above. 🤷♂️

If your intentions are “pure”, fine, I take you at your word. But I still contend your piece in written in a way (unintentionally apparently) that someone wanting to start shit at NK could easily read it as a winking endorsement to do so.

Again I have no issue with direct action or unsanctioned protests. My issue is a call to show up at a large sanctioned peaceful protest with what sounds like at the very least an agenda open to action that is not peaceful. 1)

A rally most people are not expecting to be violent. If the goal is to introduce other protesters to more direct action style work, great, but that doesn’t require contributing to an escalation of violence at NK. Which it sounds like you sorta want to happen. (2)

I just don’t think you’re being honest. You self describe as anarchists, calling on people to form “blocs”, and engaging “the fiercest participants in the George Floyd revolt” and bring shields. That all sounds pretty militant/confrontational. None of which I take issue with except that it’s at(1)

You promote bringing shields but don’t want violence? Be honest, it sounds like you are planning for confrontation/violence. This march will be huge, and mostly folks not down w/confrontation. 1 tear gas canister could cause a stampede that kill 100s. This is not smart or strategic.

“House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) said in Democrats' closed-door caucus meeting Thursday morning that leadership will vote for the resolution, according to multiple lawmakers who were present.” Jeffries and Schumer are a total disgrace and have GOT TO GO!! He should be endorsing Mamdani full stop. When Bernie lost his primary against Hillary the message from Dem leadership was “support the Dem. nominee”. Now it’s crickets. This is why overwhelming majorities of Dem voters rate the party so poorly. Its leadership is out of step with their voters.

I don’t know what that means. I’m just saying that total spread out over the 30+ that dataset is for comes to just over 2k/yr which is chump change and not likely to buy much influence if any. Plus “Israel Aligned” is a pretty vague/broad brush. So I don’t think this shows that Bernie is “bought”.

Serious question, why don’t Germany, UK, France and other EU countries stop pretending that Trump/US is ever going to be a reliable partner and just step in to fill the void as Ukraine’s military sponsor? They can do it and they have the most at stake. Why the feet dragging.
