my deck was pretty nice but also very weak to the heavy removal BR deck Ben Stark drafted

also the previous campaign had a credit line for "Director of Story and Setting" and this one doesn't. how curious.

And as competitive players, it's also our responsability to train so we can make good plays without spending hours on them. I'm currently thinking about ways to train to process the most complex turns faster, and I just need to be able to trust that my opponents will be held to the same standard.

i also really dislike how a lot of these just like, completely break the conventions of how magic art direction lines up with the color and types of a card. like, the one on the left here is clearly a red creature and the one on the right is clearly a blue spell, right?

i hate the extra friction.

and honestly not all of these look terrible. like these two i don't really mind! i still don't personally like borderless cards but that also extends to more normal magic cards too, these don't seem particularly worse than normal.

but oh god the huge "clearly you don't own an air fryer" face

unironically what i've seen of the set seems pretty nice so far at first glance, but i hate hate hate hate hate that they're still doing this art treatment of "overlay text on a screengrab with no border or frame with seemingly no regard to how good it looks"
