I have an Applied Physics degree and went to Graduate Business School, both at UTS. Worked on Solar PV R&D at ANSTO. I've recently done the sums on Nuclear v Renewables Mix (Solar PV, Wind, Hydrogen, Batteries, Pumped Hydro, Gas Carbon Capture and Storage)
Part of the spreadsheet on nuclear + batteries. It goes with the comparison table

Geiger counters for schools would be a good idea.

I asked AI (Co-Pilot) about the effect of bushfires on mutation and the response is attached. The AI makes sense and introduces relevant topics. I would argue a bushfire has a bigger impact on ecology then an, extremely unlikely, leak of radioactive isotopes.

What the law should say about nuclear actions. Based on what the Greens Senator said (via parliament Hansard). I've included a 25year offense for use, making or assembling nuclear weapons for criminal code.

Some answers to the nuclear waste and renewables waste fearmongering.

Estimate of electricity costs version 13. This includes Black coal at average CSIRO price (less than half international price). Also has Nuclear system v AEMO Integrated system plan versions. Based on Draft report which is like the Final CSIRO GenCost 24-25 Report materially.

I saw a good article on Nuclear Update about Small Modular Reactors (SMR). Its called "What’s the Deal with SMRs?" They are saying it may only take 18months to make one once they have set up a factory. They did also claim large reactors had good economies of scale. sorry I can't link it.

Comparing Proportionality (McCloy v NSW) test to the legal predecessor used in High Court. From AusPubLaw. Considering the legality of Federal Nuclear Power Ban.

CSIRO and AEMO system v nuclear cashflow analysis. I have looked at the CSIRO GenCost 24-25 final report and there are small differences in forecasts compared to the draft. Here is the cashflow analysis from the draft. The differences between draft and final are not material in effect.

Market research question

When I studied negotiation on Canberra they tough me to ask for the wildest dream first, you may get it. I never did it and probably never will. It is unconstructive and may damage your reputation according to me. The Greens seem to believe in it.

The last word on submarine fuel (High v Low Enriched Uranium) and international consequences. The UK sub hasn't been designed yet so surely, they could also make LEU option.
August 6, 2025 at 9:21 AM
What you might say the Albo about HEU verse LEU subs. You never really know what fuel they use but he should be advice. I think navy HEU use is bad for Greens support for civilian nuclear and lifting the ban.
August 6, 2025 at 6:50 AM
Has anyone told Albo to ask for a Low Enriched Uranium (LEU) reactor in the Virginia class submarines. The Nuclear Disarmament ideologists will be less upset and more trusting then if he exploits technicalities in Non-Proliferation Treaty and use weapon grade uranium. The US can make LEU reactors.

Key Points of proportionality argument in High Court Judicial Review context. Aim to invalidate the Nuclear Ban. Sometimes when you summarize you lose weight, but it's easier to read.
August 4, 2025 at 10:20 PM
I should get back to my proportionality test argument, high court style. Is the nuclear law proportional (Suitable, Necessary, Balanced) in context of other laws that deal the same things more dynamically.
August 4, 2025 at 1:26 AM
Trying to understand the nuclear power ban screws with my head. Nuclear disarmament ideology, net-zero ideology both good ideas. But how close can you really get? I think you get closer to net-zero with nuclear power.
August 3, 2025 at 11:13 PM
I doubt this comment in the senator's speech (attached) "the best method for developing nuclear weapons capability is through civilian nuclear technology." With Australia's Uranium deposits and university system the advantages of nuclear power would be trivial to a nuclear weapon program.
August 3, 2025 at 10:05 AM
Where physicists in early 1900's destroyers of worlds or saviours. They invented Solar Cells, The parts for the Internet, and Nuclear Power, but also Nuclear Bombs. Solar cells and wind can't do 100% of our net-zero energy needs, so you need Nuclear Power.

Skeptical Greens Senator in 1998. "The great lie that underlies the international nuclear
non-proliferation framework is the belief that you can prevent nuclear weapons proliferation if non-weapon
states are provided with assistance to develop so-called peaceful nuclear technology. It stopped Iran

My proportionality argument for invalidation of the federal nuclear power ban now. It is not really High Court style yet. I'm trying get the key facts, that I can get quality evidence for.
July 30, 2025 at 7:43 AM
What to prohibit in Australian environment act. This allows nuclear power. I think I have been misled by debate about nuclear power focusing on cost and waste. The law is about weapons components.
July 29, 2025 at 11:30 PM
This is more promising argument to invalid the Australin federal nuclear ban. It is based on the High Court 2015 ruling on proportionality.
July 29, 2025 at 5:02 AM
Considering court actions can be good for constructing powerful succinct arguments based on solid evidence and rules/context most people will agree with.
