I posted longer-form thoughts over on LinkedIn about my recent supermarket experience with Caper and how their solution for buying fresh produce changed my attitude about self-scanning while shopping. It connects to some bigger ideas about how to engage skeptics in the process of digital innovation.
It's an area where we'll no-doubt see advancements in the coming years, but I think cost, regulatory compliance and challenges of systems integration should reign-in some of the bullish projections here.
