This is a tangential comment. French has an aspirated h (h aspiré), but it’s very uncommon and still not pronounced. It occurs in some words of Germanic origin and prevents liaison - an example is le haricot .

I was headed the direction of setting and how does music encode for that. My thought about how technology limits shaped the genre are probably high school at least.

So their “political” group membership/ identity is more important to them than a spouse or child? That hierarchy makes no sense to me.

This thread made me think of a question, which I’ll pose this way. If you met someone in a MAGA hat, and when you started talking with them discovered they supported the president elect because they believed he would implement single payer healthcare and UBI, would you still think of them as MAGA?

My dairy free (by necessity) child is now 22. You can do this. Can you substitute soy? DF cheese is a poor approximation that one learns to live with.

At one time hanged/hung had a semantic distinction. Is this no longer the case?

Medieval set films are often action/adventure. Any suggestions for something more in the direction of intrigue? All I can think of is Le Retour de Martin Guerre.

Secular or religious framing?

One of the central ideas of God’s Secretaries by Adam Nicolson is that the KJV was intended for public reading/proclamation in a way many recent translations were not.

Bad in what way? I want to better understand the problem as you see it.
