As we listen to the stories of folks in assisted living, they want a representative who will fight for their health care, especially as the Trump administration continues to take a sledgehammer to critical services like Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.

Affordable housing, health care, & groceries shouldn’t be aspirational. Transit shouldn’t be unreliable. Public education shouldn’t be underfunded, especially in neighborhoods with the greatest need for investment.

Yesterday we were hosted by two generous Oak Park community leaders for a meet & greet, & had the opportunity to speak with neighbors from across our district. Their stories & concerns weren’t new; they were a reminder of how our leadership has consistently failed to prioritize working families.
