I know AI coding tools are far from perfect, but this ENTIRE page's UI came from one prompt:

"When I upload an audio file, I want you to show me the different processes happening in real-time, give me separate loading states, and checkmark things as completed."

The time saved is insane 🤯.

Officially calling it quits on the daily 🤖 AI blog experiment ❌.

After 90 days and 73 published blog posts, the writing was on the wall with only about 1 visitor per day 😂.

I had SUPER LOW expectations, so I am not necessarily bummed, just chalking this up to a failed experiment.

I recorded as much as I could and you can watch me build OfferMath.com step-by-step in this video: youtu.be/FMq4CRNBlw0

Hope you enjoyed reading this and feel free to play around with OfferMath for the free hour 😉.

At this point, the project was ready to ship 🚀. Still a TON to fiddle with, but I wanted to call it "good enough" and not get bogged down in too many details.

To launch:

👾 Transfer to Github (one click)
🏠 Setup custom domain (2 DNS records w/ Netlify)
🌟 PUBLISH!

The next hour was spent adding saving functionality ✅.

We got off to a great start, but it had trouble not showing saved offer comparisons to ALL accounts (instead of isolating them to the account that created them).

Back and forth I went, but we figured it out!

BUT... it took about 3 hours to get the auth system to properly interact with successful payments.

Almost asked a dev friend for help as it was SUPER frustrating at times why it couldn't do what felt like basic account creation post-purchase.

Eventually got it working 💪
February 11, 2025 at 10:52 AM
Then it was time to charge for the tool!

💰 Created a new product in Stripe
💰 Created a new price for that product in Stripe
💰 Created a Stripe API Key and Webhook Endpoint
🤲 Giving those things to the AI and telling it to make it work

Took about 15 minutes to get payments working 🤯

I spent an hour fiddling with small UI tweaks that didn't matter AT ALL at this point in the build, but couldn't resist.

One thing I really hate is working on ugly things 🙈. So, the fact that the AI can make things prettier as we go is hugely motivating to keep me working.
February 11, 2025 at 10:52 AM
Then I started working on the core functionality:

- Being able to add multiple offer ideas
- Highlighting one as a winning idea based on...
- Asking the AI to create a weighting scale to choose the best idea based on revenue + enjoyment score (as submitted by the user when adding the idea)

The next hour was prompting Lovable to apply the design system to pages in the app.

Since the only pages are the main (index) page and auth pages, it happened almost instantaneously 😂.

A bit of tweaking here and there, I love that you can select specific areas on the page to adjust 👌.

The second hour was building a "Design System" page.

I've found through a few other projects that design gets WONKY AF and out of control without a design page to reference with typography, colors, etc.

I gave it ONE reference image from Dribbble and then said, "make it fun!"
February 11, 2025 at 10:52 AM
The first hour was spent:

✔️ Letting the AI spin-up the project from 1 prompt
✔️ Creating + connecting Supabase (button clicks)
✔️ Telling it "create auth pages"

Surprisingly enough, I've done a few of these Lovable project setups and this one had a few setup errors. Just click "fix" a bunch 😆.

Here's an hour-by-hour recap of building a tiny business tool with ZERO coding skills this past weekend. ⬇️

Overview:

1. A simple tool that helps rank your next biz idea
2. Nothing pre-designed except for a placeholder logo
3. Just a few notes written in Notion

Doing it all with Lovable(.dev):
February 11, 2025 at 10:52 AM
The good news is: Impressions are going up! 📈

The lackluster news is: Only 9 clicks into articles in 3mo 😅

@tmaker.io wrote back to a question I had and mentioned to beef up the metadata a bit for some of the posts that are starting to rank, so I'll need to spend more than 5 minutes doing that.

In the past 30 days, there has been a slight/tiny/baby uptick in organic traffic 👀.

We are talking about... 26 total visitors 😂, but it's more than zero, folks.

No paid conversions, not expecting that this early on. Just wanted to see some traffic coming in from this content.

‪Day 60 of Al-generated blog 🤖:

⚡️ Recap: Using feather.so + outrank.so (~$130/mo) to create an automated daily blog. Will it attract traffic/customers to my small SaaS?

⏳ I spend 5mins each day swapping out AI-gen images as they're awful 🙈.

🎯 I told myself I'd do this for 100 days.

So far...?

In just 6 hours I've built an app that:

1. Has user auth
2. Connects Stripe
3. Let's you make a product
4. Let's you set a schedule to update the price
5. The product URL will update the Stripe Checkout price based on your schedule!

All thanks to Lovable.dev; ZERO design or coding on my part! 😱😱

Trying a new thing for prototyping SaaS features as a non-technical founder.

I'm using Lovable.dev (not on 🦋) to rebuild pages in my app Teachery and then creating UX/UI changes that functionally work -- more than just clickable designs.

Feels like a really crucial unlock to build faster.

📝 Content?

The posts are... ok 🤷. Not awful, but not super compelling.

In Outrank, you auto-gen post topics based on keywords & you can add instructions. I tried instructions w/ early posts, but didn't notice better quality.

Feather site template is 👍👍. Spot the AI img I haven't changed yet 😆.

📊 Analytics?

Not a lot to report yet (this was 100% expected). I didn't anticipate organic visitors via Google in 30 days for a brand new site.

I DO find it encouraging that after I shared the URL (here on 🦋 with almost no followers), there has been some trickle traffic here and there.

Day 13 of Al-generated blog 🤖:

- Mostly dark-mode images 🌚 (not my fave)
- Got a decent notebook/desk image (but wonky 🤭)
- Few posts finished with weird prompt errors 😬

Again, I have ZERO expectations at this point & I spend 10mins/day on it. At the 100-day mark I hope to see *some* traffic? 🙏

I've been making (*somewhat* controversial) tier lists for our membership community.

This one on candy ruffled some feathers -- I'm sorry, butterfinger is a trash candy 😂🙈.

Want to see the other tier lists? 👀 One was on Christmas movies 😶‍🌫️.

(Also, this might be the best content I have to offer 🤷)

Biz 👨‍💻 and baking 🍪 are my two hobbies 😂.

👨‍💻 After seeing 📉 MRR churn since 2023, I brought back a Lifetime Deal for Teachery. Since June, this has brought $94,000 in revenue (on top of existing $9k MRR).

🍪 After 20-30 recipes, I created my PERFECT chocolate chip cookie cooked.wiki/saved/5c71ef...

Day 5 of Al-generated blog 🧪:

- 📈 16 total visitors (most came from sharing the URL here)
- 🤦 One blog post had to be completed deleted (just terrible)
- 😑 Today's post had the attached AI-gen image (whut?)
- 👍 I'm pleased with the visual aesthetic of the blog*

*I'm choosing Unsplash photos daily.

Oh, you asked, and you SHALL receive...

What does this have to do with ONLINE learning? Why are two giant puzzle pieces on the floor? Is the kid closest to us eating a snack of some sort in class?

Could've been a lot worse, obvs. But, woof. 😆
