A classic or a piece of 60s pulp trash? Probably a classic.

⭐️⭐️

I did not enjoy the main character, Jorg, in the slightest, and being that the book is written in first person it was all the more painful. Jorg doesn’t even rate as an anti-hero, he’s just wicked. A wicked Mary Sue, whose every half-cocked idea works out in his favor.

My first completed read of the year. Granted it was only 40 pages. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Starting Prince of Thorns this #NYE. Looking forward to reading an author who has aphantasia to inspire me to write.

I enjoyed Surviving the Evacuation Book 1: London far more than I expected I would. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. It’s too late tonight to start the next one, right?

The first three books in the series are available digitally at no cost.

Just finish Deadhouse Gate, book 2 of #Malazan Book of the Fallen. ⭐️⭐️⭐️. The prose was better than Gardens of the Moon. The narrative was also more clear. So far it’s my favorite of the series (not hard with this being the second).
