My favourite part of ever travelling during the week is looking at the Business People making sure people around them know they’re doing Business Things.

Stuff like somehow typing louder than the sound of the train itself because This Email Is Important Dammit.

I love my MacBook Pros, but whoever decided to put the camera underneath the point where you put your thumb to lift the lid is a moron.

Absolutely definitely did not spend the evening sorting out repurposing our Sky dish for use in Plex and then adding in some automations to dim the lights etc when starting a movie.

Now can I get it to start making some popcorn?

Internet going down at home is a pain, but I’ve worked in worse places than this new local coffee shop

What’s the stage after acceptance, where you have to hold yourself back from rewriting everything you’ve ever written in Rust?

Finally committed the first lines of code to my Rust project last night. It’s taking so much mental capacity to get my head around borrowing and ownerships and lifecycles, as well as a more functional approach than I’m used to, but it’s good fun to plod along with.

Today has been one of the days of all time. Car getting hit in a hospital car park with no note left is definitely a great bit of icing.

I have an emergency PAYG sim that I keep around to put in a 5G router if our home network connection goes down.

The provider cancelled it today for lack of use, and then sent a “sorry you’re leaving” questionnaire.

I’m not leaving ya plonkers, & I remember the days PAYG sims would last forever 👨‍🦳

When your 8 year old proclaims that her opponents in a game “ate [her outfit] up and left no crumbs” both of the following are true:

- keeping a straight face is tough
- they’re watching too much YouTube

First year of accounts for NOMAD Sim Racing LLP submitted successfully yesterday.

I have a ludicrous amount of headphones and microphones, but the quest continues to find the holy grail.

--> Spent too much time staring at core dumps lately?

Maybe you should try Python!

Things I don’t need as an easily distracted person. Note that this keyboard still has 20% of battery when it starts doing this.

What a ridiculously good start to the IMSA season it was today.

It never ceases to amaze me how different the approaches to an endurance race can be.

In my experience, the least experienced go in trying to plan every detail. Stints, schedule, etc.

My car? Commit to the way it always goes: make it up as you go along.

Got my beloved Berghaus coat back from their repair service today and I am super glad - it’s been a bit cold in without it.

Pretty awesome service they have there to just repair stuff for free.

Surely it’d have been quicker to have humans do it?
