Measles is one of the most contagious diseases on Earth — more than Ebola, smallpox or just about any other infectious disease.

As the Texas outbreak grows, how contagious is measles, really?
Vaccination eliminated measles from the U.S. 25 years ago. But it can still spread in pockets where vaccination rates are low, like the west Texas county with a current outbreak. Here's how fast.

The N.C. Senate voted along party lines Monday to put two proposed constitutional amendments before voters.

One would lower the state's maximum income tax rate from 7% to 5%. That wouldn't change the current tax rate of 4.5% but would block some future increases.
