This was 100% the work of Schumer and the majority of the caucus. The exact number of votes needed, and all of them either retiring or not up for reelection until ‘28? That’s the will of the whole caucus (except maybe Bernie).

This bear cup is like Labubu and other stupid crazes right now: a sign of a diseased society. When people no longer have hope for their long-term financial health, short-term pleasures like this become all-consuming. Yet another way billionaires keep us fighting and distracted.
