Just starting training to advocate for NASA science funding with the @planetarysociety.bsky.social and many other partners. Got my briefing packet, name tag, and pin. The room is packed, with only half the attendees!

Brutal visual of the proposed cuts to NASA's budget. All these missions, which are flying right now, will be turned off. This is why I'm heading to DC in a couple of weeks. Congress can, and should, stop this from happening.

I'm deeply saddened by the recent orders to eliminate diversity at NASA. One of my family from two generations ago, Adelaide, modernized NASA's libraries. She was one of the few women in a leadership position in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. This backwards progress is shameful. We're stronger together.

Attended a talk last night at the @exploratorium.bsky.social by astronaut Ed Lu from B612. Lots of cool predictions: 50k sats launched by 2030, millions of asteroids discovered, and at least one deflected from Earth. Also, bonus pictures from his trip in the best space shuttle, Atlantis!
