Barrister specialising in employment law. Trustee of Kisharon Noe school. Mainly talk employment law (do you see a theme?) with the occasional foray into politics and bad puns.
Alas not committing crimes doesn’t prevent the current administration from seeking vindictively to charge those with whom Trump bears a grudge.

I guess Bannon is worried that the Democrats would stoop to the same authoritarian low (or considers it convenient to present as holding that concern).

I’m not sure it’s quite that simple, speaking as a descendant of Germanic ancestors, with a Germanic surname, but a religion that would definitely mark me out to society’s ne’er-do-wells as never able to be properly English.

I think that’s the version I always listen to as well. Hard to beat Gershwin to raise the mood. Could happily listen to Rhapsody in Blue and An American In Paris repeatedly throughout the day.

I particularly like the last sentence of the method.

Alas we can’t stop them saying it but we can deploy @barristersecret.bsky.social to tell them that they are wrong.

AI tells me middle-aged goes up to 60. But as a middle-aged white British man myself, I agree with your decision (though I'm from a besieged minority and had 8 immigrant great-grandparents, so wonder whether or not Goodwin and co would ignore my immigrant heritage on account of my whiteness).

When I’ve acted in cases for the Met Office, that’s pretty much my go-to topic of conversation in the breaks!

Was there any amendment debated in respect of confidentiality terms under settlement agreements or is that late amendment now a fait accompli notwithstanding overwhelming concern about it from those representing all sides?

There is good reason employers would rather Beelzebub turn up to accompany an employee than us lawyers!

It’s dispiriting to see this stuff finding its way more and more into The Times these days. It is becoming increasingly tabloid in its output, presumably because commercial sustainability of newspapers requires this kind of clickbait rather than proper political engagement.

If this is how she poorly phrases her racism on a TV phone-in, imagine how poorly she phrases her racism in a more private scenario.

Nadia was superb last week. Ben likewise today with a very different style. He just has this talent for making every submission sound so reasonable and obvious.
