That was disappointing for sure. I don't know if him saying something would have made a difference but I do wish he would have tried.

I agree. I do not believe for one second that he knew there were no WMDs in Iraq. If he wanted to make up a reason he could have said there was intelligence that Iraq helped with 9/11. Would be harder to disprove. Iraq war was the result of an intelligence failure, not a conspiracy.

Man, I’m a marching band dad. That would be tough. In my experience, marching band kids are some of the kindest, empathetic, and most supportive kids in the world. Maybe some of what they have will rub off on the people attending the parade.

I understand the sentiment but I say let them go after her. She did nothing wrong and she’s tough as nails. Let them embarrass themselves in court.

They’ve been doing it. Federal trials for former presidents don’t get done in a few years. There were prosecuting Trump’s lawyers successfully delayed enough to run out the clock. Off on technicalities.

He was being prosecuted for it! The SCOTUS ruleD that the State has to first prove that he wasn’t acting in his official capacity as POTUS on Jan 6. He also can’t be prosecuted while he is in office, obviously any trial wouldn’t be completed before he is sworn in. He’s getting off on a technicality.

If I wanted my supporters to peacefully protest and I saw them rioting instead, I would be horrified and I’d immediately announce that they had misunderstood me and I’d beg them to stop. Wouldn’t you?

How about doing exactly what he did, only 3 hours earlier? He didn’t ask them to stop until it became clear they were not going to be able to stop the certification of the election.

Ya know, the polite thing to do would be to thank me for providing you with the information you requested. 187 minutes after they started rioting and only after it became clear the mob would not succeed in overturning the election did he finally tell them to go home, and they obeyed him. He could have stopped it anytime he wanted and chose to wait over 3 hours.
