Exactly! I’ve read articles before suggesting it’s just really good stats or machine learning, which I think is what the others are referencing, over-confidently IMO. But that’s not believable because it suggests an algo the essentially forecasts the future on an individual basis.

Why do you think it’s overblown? - most people I know have examples over the last 5+ years of having a very specific conversation and then getting an ad for a product that’s related to that very specific conversation. And now there’s evidence that Siri was in fact doing this…
