In recovery after recent surgery for a week and a half. Things went really well and things look really good. Today I'm discharging to an acute rehab facility for a week to get my strength back and then hopefully back to life as I know it. We all have such perseverance. I believe in yours, too <3

Sarcoma research team at UofA was very reassuring that my current surgeon is more than well-equipped to handle things in a few days. The key will be getting oncologist who is extremely aggressive with surveillance. Regardless, it's time to move somewhere more specialized. Desert never suited me.

Surgery couldn't be finished. The mass is growing from an important vein and not where we thought, so it'll be a more serious surgery in the near future. Not gonna let myself doomspiral, but man... I wish I could tour the country and spend a little time making memories with everyone. Tired 🥺

May 3rd was Int'l LFS Awareness Day, and May is Brain Cancer awareness month. My brother passed from APXA 5 years ago, and only after my second cancer and learning of his was I sent for genetic testing. If you have notable family history of cancer, please discuss genetic testing with your doctors.

International trip isn't in the cards like I hoped, but I'm trying to head to the PacNW for a week before surgery in June. Find a BnB with huge-ass windows, hopefully some steady rain, and just exist in luxury and quiet to let my lungs breathe crisp air and my soul breathe a dreamy atmosphere.
