Looking back at my faith journey has always been a powerful exercise. It’s a reminder that our spiritual formation is a process and God is always working.

The 3 questions at the end of chapter 1 are a great reminder to look back, reflect, and see God in your story.

Quantum Leap

This resonates with me. I often feel I am either taking a giant leap forward or stuck in neutral.

Looking back, I can see the slow and steady work of grace preparing me for what feels like a quantum leap forward even when it feels like I am stuck.

Ch. 1 The Process

▪️God is not a vending machine.
▪️God never stops working.
▪️Every action we take is shaping our spirit one way or the other.
▪️Commit to a lifelong journey.

I like the way George MacDonald puts it.

His work begins long before we are aware.

Spiritual formation is a process.

I have felt the stagnation that Mulholland talks about.

The key for me is to remember that God is never stagnant.
