I watched some "oldies" like Tootsie with my Kids. They thought the old box TV was a microwave.

I'm shocked at how well Sam Darnold has done for them.
And how poorly Geno has done with the Raiders.

With Justin Fields is the Jets Oline being punished for allowing pressures/sacks because he takes 5 seconds to throw?

Lindsay, That may have been my all time favorite Sumer podcast. That one and the prior one with Brian Hoyer about QB development were fabulous.

Im surprised to see the raiders in front!
Maybe the don't have many chances to screw up, while other teams have more?

250-1 that the Jets are able to draft a good QB in 2026

what is it?

In theory there is a check on the presidents powers.
But the Senate and House rolled over and played dead and let him do what he wanted

They are well run, but I think sometimes they overpay good players who aren't worth that lofty sum.
And Lamar tends to not be at his best during the playoff games against the strong teams

But Brick Johnson will ask "whats his Madden Rating?" and rely on twitter before whispering in daddys ear
June 3, 2025 at 12:11 AM
Best of luck to him.

I listen to the Sumer Sports podcast and over the last year several key people have taken good jobs with the NFL.
June 3, 2025 at 12:10 AM
What I wonder about Geno is was the time spent with the Jets a waste of time? Did it set him back?

If a better-coached team drafted him and he sat for 2 years, would he have been an ok QB by year 4,5?

Who is proposing an NBA style lottery?
What problem is that supposed to correct?
In the NFL vs the NBA frequently "generational players" are nothing special.

The team building is hugely interesting, how a team is constructed, getting value out of mid-level players, etc
May 16, 2025 at 4:39 AM
If TL was taken #12, instead of being hailed as a "generational QB" there would be far fewer expectations. Blake Bortles was below average. TL isn't bad, but the expectations are so high he is viewed as a disappointment.

At least he's not Zach Wilson or Trey Lance bad

The next president should say to Quatar they can pay their bribe in cash instead of an airplane.
And if they don't, then make an offhand comment about Quatar belonging to Iran and that the US Navy will pull out of the Persian Gulf.
May 12, 2025 at 6:04 PM
I think you are correct.
It will be interesting to see how he does on a new team.

The Steelers meanwhile need to find a franchise QB
May 12, 2025 at 1:31 AM
Thats what Im wondering. Maybe the Steelers think he's going to want a record setting contract and they dont trust him
May 7, 2025 at 7:11 PM
The Steelers knew what they were doing when they traded Brown and Santonio Holmes.
This will be interesting to watch

I would say the Republicans have morphed into pure evil while the democrats are stupid and ineffective and also enact bad policy. In my home state they do dumb things when in the majority, things that a rational person would say is a mistake.
