Jazz in our Eberron was invented in the Shadow Marches, and there's been an explosion of popularity in Sharn since the last war that coincides with coffee being "discovered" in Xendrik.

Understandable!

Convert from the fiction/lore, and not the mechanics. Its pretty clear when you start looking at it thar the lore snd the system do not match

It works well in Savage Worlds, in my experience. Eberron is top tier for my group, but we've not touched a d20 adjacent game in 15 years. Pretty sure there is a conversion out there, too. My next conversion will probably be a Year Zero conversion, but I'm not sure.

Sounds awesome! Based on an existing scenario or something you came up with.

The books are gorgeous, for certain. Absolutely adore them and happy to have a full shelf. Not many games I say that about

I like the Hostile setting so much, but the Alien system is just awesome. I compromise and run Hostile setting with the Alien rules, lol (and often convert Mothership adventures for it for maximum "all the best things")

The drow (or droenar, as we call them) bind their ancestors into their own skulls, which they recreate their ancestor's faces in clay over (see the real world "cult of skulls" from the Levant for the inspiration). These act as guides, familiars, and protective spirits.

Love the Eberron drow. In our Eberron, we've adjusted all our elves to share some form of ancestor worship as a common thread. The Aerenar are largely unchanged, but the Valenar we gave a culture of heroic ancestor worship in which they can mantle their ancestor and draw on their strength and skill.

Love the nuances that the runes and passions give the players (my group are all heavy roleplayers already, but they help give them an even better scaffolding for basing their actions) and I've been really pressing them the last few sessions.

Her Fire/Sky, Truth, and Honor are all over 80, and her Love (Family) is only 75, so she's playing up her passions/runes and being uncharacteristically cranky and rushing things, which is fun.

Campaign started as SSiS and now CotD adjacent, lol. She is also the leader of the Company and overwhelmed

My wife's Yelornian is currently torn between rushing back to camp to be with her wife for the birth of their firstborn and continuing on to do the time sensitive task they'd agreed to for the ducks. She's already had to miss Yelorna's High Holy Day.
