Came to social media for the tech and a bit of fun. Stayed for the politics and keeping up with the existential threats to humankind.
“Wearing your socks in bed does not cause autism” is also not an evidence based claim, because I simply don’t have any evidence either way. So does that mean, according to CDC logic, that wearing socks in bed should be considered a serious possible cause of autism?

They’ll pretend it never happened. Gaslighting is their skill.

We all know how it went down when Russia did the same thing. Expect to lose everything and end up in El Salvador as a penniless migrant before the year is up.

…but with a helicopter landing pad on the top, I guess 🤷‍♂️

That tower looks like the one the first nuclear bomb was tested on.

I’m not sure it was. I think many of us were hoping for better, but shouting into the void DON’T FUCK THIS UP LABOUR BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT GET A SECOND CHANCE.

It’s like suicide by a thousand self inflicted cuts. I see lifelong supporters of Labour turn away from the party, one by one, as each reaches their limit on what they will accept to keep the other parties out.

Both certainly utter bonkers.

Brexit is, was, and always has been a step in the takeover of the UK.

And before the referendum its attitude was “let’s listen to all your opinions so nothing is clear, but we won’t fact check any of it”.

Why do I have a horrible, horrible feeling the BBC are just going to give him a truckload of cash and a chunk of the programming control. Everyone at the top of the BBC want it gone anyway.

Or he’s been offered a better job in the US and is sinking the ship on the way out.

The headlines and articles make it all about “BBC bias”. Bias is not about a single edit, a single event, a single programme. Bias is an ongoing process. The right can’t scream bias about one edit while ignoring continuous platforming of Farage and Reform. It’s a stitch up, I guarantee.

The whole thing feels far too orchestrated, right from the start.

Probably just me then. I called the bank and they said both attempts were declined, but the second one has come off my account, so I guess all is good and the banks don’t seem to know what they are doing.

Just made a donation but bank labelled it as fraudulent and declined. Tried again though Apple, accepted, but possibly declined by the bank. Is there some kind of tag on Bylines?

I’d love to see this installed as two portals facing each other in all the cities. Being able to look down a tunnel of portals would be amazing.

TBH “does this advert represent my race” is not the first thing that comes to mind when I switch on the TV. Whether an ad represents ANY aspect of my demographic is not even close to my thoughts. Who are these people that get so anxious about seeing others that aren them?

Oh, and it’s not meant to look pretty, just a rough box for all the bits.
