Be kind to yourself and remember that it's your own life to live so live honestly and be happy. The people telling who/what you are will never be happy for you regardless, so fuck 'em (and not in the cool fun way)

When I finally got my script I just cried. A lot. I still had no idea if it was even right despite talking it through with half a dozen medical professionals.

I blew right through that deadline over and over. First it was 'before I turn 23', then 24, then 25. The dysphoria never went away. It turns out that being depressed and dysphoric are only made worse by bottling things inside and feeling like you're running a race against time when you really aren't

It took me forever to work up the courage to actually book an appointment to even get therapy. I was constantly up in my own head with the same feelings. Nobody else can tell you what you are and what you aren't. I gave myself so many deadlines to either get on with it or abandon the idea altogether
