That would be the implication of your comment.

I’m pretty sure the group that analyzed this is independently owned. Don’t see why we wouldn’t be able to trust it

Don’t think this comes from the US government.
January 13, 2026 at 5:03 PM
What does this mean? Are these surveillance drones or are they planning to drone strike cartels?

That’s fucked up either way but I’m curious
January 12, 2026 at 5:15 PM
Yea this is why I think the world needs to move on from the US. Trump has won twice.

The US has become divided culturally. It doesn’t matter if 50-60% of the society has shared values if the other 40-50% do not.

We also need to do more to protect our values from the propaganda onslaught.
January 10, 2026 at 1:03 AM
Tbf the entire world is looking to replace the US. There is no individual country that can do that so it makes sense China would want to work with Canada and vice versa.
January 9, 2026 at 10:56 PM
Wait what do you mean 1.2T in hole? Are you saying the US has spent 1.2 trillion on this Venezuela operation?

Or does this include everything else trump has done?
January 9, 2026 at 4:12 PM
$100,000 really isn’t a lot to sell out your country tbh.

Like I’m trying to put myself in that situation and I don’t even think I would be tempted to take that money.
January 9, 2026 at 4:07 PM
Gee I wonder why 3 trips to foreign countries were announced immediately after the US bombed Venezuela and carney and Lula agreed to meet in April.

Totally a crazy coincident and not us running away from the US at 1000mph. Nope not at all.
January 9, 2026 at 3:38 PM
Electric cars I’m not expecting a deal. It would be politically unpopular and there are security with that I believe.
January 8, 2026 at 2:24 AM
I think carney is weary of China so it will probably be fine. As bad as China is there is no singular market that can replace the US. We also don’t have the benefit of geography.

And there are areas we can collaborate for the better with China. China is the global leader in wind and solar.
January 8, 2026 at 1:33 AM
I agree but I also think provinces should teach children about propaganda in schools so they are less likely to be influenced
January 8, 2026 at 12:21 AM
Systematic issues are harder to fix than create, they need to filter the ice agents that racially profile people which won’t be easy.

As a Canadian I don’t want my government to forget or forgive. What trump does has drastic impacts on my life and I never had any say in it.

We need to move on.
January 7, 2026 at 4:57 PM
The US cannot fix what trump has broken, not in the short term. It will take decades to fix the systematic issues he’s caused and the trust the US has lost with other countries.
January 7, 2026 at 4:41 PM
The region will likely not be stable so it’s unlikely things will get up and running soon in Venezuela.

I don’t know why people are betting against Canadian oil.
January 6, 2026 at 6:43 PM
Fucking bull shit. Trump isn’t hiding. He wants the oil. He was always going to take the oil.
January 6, 2026 at 12:51 AM
Both Canada and Mexico have had our sovereignty threatened. We need to work with Mexico to protect our economy
January 5, 2026 at 11:30 PM
Donald trump should not be deciding who is in charge in Venezuela.

The issue isn’t that he dismissed machado the issue is he is invading another country for oil and risking a war and destabilizing the region for oil.
January 5, 2026 at 9:49 PM
Yes but there isn’t another viable candidate imo
January 5, 2026 at 5:54 PM
He is using crypto to enrich himself but he doesn’t want to dedollarize. The US would lose tremendous power.

Trump is a narcissist and he wants to dominate. He can’t do that if the world dedollarizes. It also reflects poorly on his legacy.
January 4, 2026 at 11:45 PM
BRICS wants to dedollarize. It would be against trumps interests.
January 4, 2026 at 11:20 PM
People in the US never understood it.

Every country that was threatened and the rest of the world understood. Trump is a terrorist. He believe might makes right. He believes the US is entitled to do what it wants.
January 4, 2026 at 8:01 PM
Do US oil refiners win? Trump claims he will run Venezuela but maduro loyalists are still in charge.

Unless he made a deal this could be another war which could take years to settle. Than there is setting up the refineries in Venezuela.

I also don’t think China will let the US control its assets
January 4, 2026 at 2:39 PM
This tax cut isn’t a lot. We need action to bring down the price of groceries.
January 3, 2026 at 5:40 AM
Don’t take your victories for granted. Vote
January 2, 2026 at 7:02 PM
Her district voted for trump.
