So an office update broke half of our #altium installations at work. In case you’re having the same issue, we got it fixed by installing ms access redistributable 2016 on the affected workstations. Premium software!

Was am CDU-Feldzug gegen Arbeitnehmer („Ihr arbeitet zu wenig!“, „Lifestyle-Teilzeit“, „Faulenzer“) besonders verwerflich ist: Plötzlich ist der Mensch wieder für den Staat da – nicht der Staat für die Menschen. Diese Denke war seit 1945 weg. Viel Spaß mit der Obrigkeitsfantasie gegen Arbeitnehmer!

TIL Altium really doesn’t like Sophos endpoint protection
Heute sind auf der Strecke von Frankfurt nach Darmstadt über einen Zeitraum von mehr als vier Stunden mal einfach alle Züge ausgefallen. Keine Ahnung wie man in diesem Land mit dem ÖPNV den Alltag bewältigen soll 🙃

so it turns out that when VS Code asks you “do you trust the authors of this folder?” what they mean is that it’ll auto-execute .vscode/tasks.json if it exists, which can include shell commands.
