All the new theme park shows being mounted by Disney World and Universal are about how society is better with diversity and we would be happier if we didn’t judge others.

It’s like a simultaneous plea for sanity in America.

Just because Republicans have gerrymandered maps red doesn’t mean they’ll win the new districts they just created.

Look at tonight’s blue shifts over last year!

A lot of red will turn blue—even with gerrymandering.

Nicolae Ceaușescu of Romania turned the military on protesters, surveilled his citizens, and drove his economy into debt as he looted the government.

He was shot to death with his wife by soldiers in 1989.

Marriott is charging $702 for a single night at the Moxy.

The MOXY! Where rooms don’t even have closets.

Corporations truly deserve to wither.

Andor gave No Kings a great slogan.

Thank you, Tony Gilroy.

I’m sad to learn about the passing of Drew Struzan.

His posters are as meaningful to my generation’s definition of all-time classic movies as is the work of artists like John Williams and Steven Spielberg. He was a great.

The Mai-Kai is an American treasure. The survival and superlative restoration of this temple of tiki has been a miracle.

Delta Air Lines sold me 4 and a half hours of this but told me it would be a window.

I recorded this off the TV in October 2016.

I am so tired of living with this national derangement.

The viewer counts for the online streams of today’s Glendale event are incredibly low. Just 1,300 people are watching C-SPAN’s stream. 1,400 on NBC News. And only 97k on Fox News Live Now.

These are not majority numbers. Not even strong numbers. I know cruise ship vloggers who attract 100x more.

No money to the corporations and billionaires that are killing us.

Make their bank accounts bleed, not each other.

It’s possible Canadian Les Lye is the actor who created a prototype for Homer Simpson.

He played the drunken, slovenly, lazy, but adorable father on Nickelodeon’s popular You Can’t Do That on Television for nearly a decade before The Simpsons was created. The similarities are striking.

The king had “genuinely believed that a dictatorship was the only effective form of government.

The magnificent Rubens ceiling painting at the Banqueting House, completed in 1636, was commissioned by Charles to celebrate these divine principles.”

“The King, his hair now bound in a white nightcap, took off his cloak and laid down…
After a little pause, the King stretched out his hand, and the axe fell, the executioner severing his head in one clean blow.”

In 1649, King Charles I “walked across the floor of Banqueting House, beneath the Rubens ceiling painting; 20 years before, he had commissioned this magnificent ceiling from Rubens.”

A caption like this about George Washington, on view at London’s National Portrait Gallery, is now outlawed at US national park sites by the Trump government.

It mentions that Washington participated in slavery.

I don’t care what the clucking hens say online. From inside the London Palladium, watching the live video of Rachel Zegler masterfully performing “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina” from the balcony for the crowd on Argyll Street was absolutely electrifying theater.

Mike Johnson may be a smooth politician but I’ll never forget him from his work in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Two good ideas they’re using in Europe that the USA should adopt, not that the USA ever changes for the good much anymore:

* Paper lids that are shaped so they snap onto the rim of paper coffee cups

* Plastic bottlecaps that can’t become loose litter because they remain attached by a tab

A few years ago, I wrote Here Lies America, a tongue-in-cheek book about how American authorities have always toyed with the representation of history at U.S. historic sites.

I am stunned by the avalanche of federal manipulation ever since—and by my prescience.
