#morning #firstfrost we don't get a lot of frosts out here on #scarboroughCastle promontory, the sea either side of us is a temperature flywheel but it's cold this morning. Had some clear skies, been watching #Saturn's trajectory against #orion.

As I was photographing this wintery #sunrise this #morning I realised with love that the #sparrows that gather in the bushes hadn't flown away. So it only seemed fair to take a portrait of one of them. I'll gift them a mini printout of this so they can hang it in their nest in the spring.

Tried to get this yesterday but when I got it on screen there was a big grass seed right over the lighthouse :-)
Thanks to @thelensartistic for the idea, I'm struggling a bit with this month being wide angle lens month and everything dying off, think I'm more into detail.

A photographer said photographs have to be truthful, I disagree. I've been there, as an autist I didn't trust my own judgment, couldn't accept the colours on my screen as true. Now I'm like .. colour is just a thing I can turn up or down. So is contrast. Just do what you like. So I did. #morning

#scarborough harbour, south bay and the Grand Hotel as seen through a hole in a controversial new #publicsculpture, it somehow doesn't promote art mainly because the cost of public consultation was more than the cost of the #art. My gardening idea is better :-)

#morning. It's been over a week since we've seen the sun, it's just been grey cloud every day and the forecast says we have to wait until Monday for it to break, but it hinted this morning. sun breaking through grey cloud over the sea, with a couple of birds flying into the scene

I used to say autumn is my favourite time of year and it is very beautiful, but wrt these photographs .. spring is full of hope and newness so I think I've changed my mind. This is gorgeous tho.
