shout-outs to the PS2 and GameCube era, where a lot of PAL games actually let you choose between 50 or 60 Hz modes when booting them up, because 60 Hz TVs were actually starting to become a more widespread thing for us during that time

Ok, this game's really fun! I liked it a lot!
and compared to the tank controls of the first game, I thought this game's dual analog controls were much better!

I got infinite energy on the Homing Missile!
Man, for a special weapon you can build early in the game, it's surprisingly handy even later on!
It and the Vacuum Arm (which I use when I want to grind for money) are my two most used special weapons. I never really felt like using anything else, tbh

TIL that apparently the BIOS menu of the PS1 looked different for PAL regions, but I'm pretty sure I remember ours having the more colorful look too.

kinda felt like continuing with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 1.
I played on the Steam Deck, and ngl, graphics-wise it holds up really well on it.
also, nice shout-out to Shadow of the Colossus with that boss fight at the end of Chapter 1 there, MercurySteam :V

from what I can find, the 'Demon' ending looks *really* rough in the HD remaster (second pic), but also, I feel like that's an ending that's generally ignored by everyone, since iirc you don't even get to fight the standard Final Boss in it.

so I started the Tales of Xillia remaster around midnight today, and I actually forgot that they wrote Jude as Jyde in the german translation, probably because "Jude" means "Jew" in german
