I just think that Gold needs kouhai's that take him seriously bc Ruby and Sapphire clearly don't (they treat him like a same aged friend)

he's exactly the type they'd have baby crushes on. He's a bad influence with his gambling and Platinum is enamored. He hides away his true feelings but Dia can see right through him and he's so endeared. He's so insanely creative(or unhinged) when it comes to pokemon battles that Pearl is impressed.
