I am about to present to colleagues in the social sciences my investigation on #EUDI composed as a painful list of "seven sins" that many operators, busy like me on development, have well recognized stsitalia.org/event/panel-...

About to hit the stage at the We Make Future festival here in Bologna. I'll be diving into "Digital Sovereignty" and its significance for the #EUROstack

I coined 'algorithmic sovereignty' and shaped 'digital sovereignty' as an epistemic noun in Europe's tech discourse. Today, I can calmly confirm: digital sovereignty has entered the 'digital bullshit bingo' phase.

Civic Protocol Economies is out! I'm happy to have contributed to this exploration into the potential synergies between civic economies and protocol economies. Community and collaboration meet decentralized technologies for novel approaches to value exchange and governance of economic systems.

Multiple countries in Europe are critically dependent on services provided by Microsoft. Querying mail-servers teaches that in some countries, over 70% of all public services rely on this American provider. Europe needs to build its own infrastructure, and open source is the most robust solution.

I am happy to announce that my new minimalist C compiler and just-in-time interpreter dyne.org/cjit is made available by Microsoft as an official WinGet package.

Feedback is very welcome from anyone using it, I'll be working towards 1:1 compatibility with GCC and CLang.

Whoever relies on big-tech vows and promises is a fool. They are oportunistic lies useful to seize favors and profits: in absence of incentives they are discarded arbitrarily, just like changing a TOS. Even when human life is on the line.

It strikes me deeply that, after all this time, our friend Alaa is still imprisoned in Egypt. He couldn't enjoy a big part of his life so far, his children growing up. Laila is now on hunger strike, since 80 days. @freealaa.bsky.social

The CJIT project is growing! and I'm asking for your advice: what are your favorite C minimalistic libs and headers? I shared my shortlist in a pinned GitHub issue and a few are already there: of course STB, Nuklear, termbox2, and miniaudio, also dmon. What else I'm missing? Cheers! #lib #headers #C

My biggest regret as an artist and C coder is that my most famous artwork, which is by far the most viral piece of code out there, is shell script (originally designed for Ksh and Zsh, works on Bash of course...). The ASCII Forkbomb.

Software crafted with a minimalist approach to C language is incredibly powerful and hard to compare to anything else. It means simplicity, efficiency, precision: lean code, optimal performance, and the longest heritage of all alternatives.

C is the most agile approach in the face of rapid technolo

Today, the reality is stark: the Linux landscape has been increasingly commercialized, compromising its core values and spirit.

But amidst this transformation, a few beacons of true community-driven development remain - among them Devuan. 🖖🏼

✨Imagine running a C file just like a python or shell script. Then imagine running a whole codebase like `cjit *.c`. 💣OK, now can you believe all you need is an executable smaller than 2MB? 🪽
And no EULA to sign, BTW.
