I think Elfquest is one of the all-time greatest comics ever made, specifically this story arc. But you need everything that comes before it in order for this arc to resonate. It's impossible to read KotBW without tearing up!

By "important to" do this, I mean you will be happier and you will also be a more moral person. In my opinion, of course :)

Have many interests besides your main goal. It's OK to prioritize one or a few, but being *completely* insular makes you less talented in the longrun. And don't sacrifice morality for success.

That's so cool! A true tech artist origin story! I remember realizing that they effectively just required going reverse cross eyed and it was easy to cheat by going cross eyed but it inverted the out and in (I think?) was mind-blowing!
