Fair, but... the definition of intelligence used to be: ability to solve previously unseen problems. Without real-time learning, the internal buffer, context window, etc. put an upper bound to that ability. Even worse, once they hit the limit, they become dumb as a rock.

Which models? CoT and even HRM, still fall short of what would make the basis for an "actual AI": real-time learning. Pruned Boltzmann networks are closest to biological systems, but far from practical at the moment.

Nitpick: the litmus test for AGI would be self-training. LLMs usually run with temp>0, making the output about as unpredictable as humans. They can't self-train, though (although, arguably, humans also seem to need a separate sleep cycle to fully fine-tune themselves).

Yeah, it was kind of silly, took a lot of repetition to memorize, and for what. 😣
Nowadays, I have the manager generate some ~128bit equivalent, not even look at it. The master pass, proved marginally "useful" when upgrading a KeePass algo to 1000000x stronger: old backups are still strong... yay? 🤷

Back in the 1990s, I used to remember a 40-character long password (lowercase and numbers).
Memory is not so good anymore... no way to remember 1000+ passwords... but my master passphrase is still 40+ characters long 😉

The most ironic part, is that EU citizens were not "migrating" to the UK, they were simply working in the EU. After Brexit, they kept working in the EU... minus UK, so the UK needed to boost immigration!

If you wanted the 0.4l option, which at 8€/l would've been 3.20€, but ended up choosing 2x0.25l for 4€ total... then yes, it worked, made you spend more for something you didn't initially want.
Would've worked even better with a 3rd option for, let's say 0.75l at 8€/l, pushing you to spend 6€.
