Not 100% accurate. Studios heavily invested in animation during the pandemic—the problem is that they axed most of it before it could limp out of needlessly long development because of short-sighted micromanagement at the apex of the streaming wars.

Try opening from browse file option on SBpro launch instead of clicking file.
Really lame, really dumb—but sometimes a hard on/off of your desktop has fixed this issue for me in the past.

Try opening from browse file option on SBpro launch instead of clicking file.

Project Management>extract all the scenes to a new file (not sure if this is what you meant by merge)
Try moving file to new location and opening from there—sometimes permissions can prevent from opening ie opening from onedrive, iCloud, server etc.
