If 2% was enough for rich people to leave, they would leave already, as there are many tax heavens where they could be paying 2% less, or more, than they're already currently paying. These whole campaigns are designed because they know they would stay and pay more, and they just don't want to.

I get the point but assuming a representative selection of white people is probably not wise, for example you're losing all the very religious because gambling is a sin, and so on. I've seen the odd maga guy from time to time but usually if a dude is rightwing in poker he's going to be a CEO type.

I don't think there's a very good reason to claim that Trump would win an exit poll at WSOP, in the old days certainly but now the game has expanded quite a lot. I've only gotten positive comments for my Bernie shirt in Vegas (all of them from people from conservative states interestingly enough)

One of my few unscientific takes is that economists function essentially like religious authorities, and yeah I know it's not really true but every news story ever reinforces it.

To give you two main things to start with this would include market socialism (not as an endgoal obviously) and voting for policies rather than representatives.

But it is also true that if you push me on it, I currently believe that the best strategy to get rid of capitalism is to make our societies more democratic, in basically all available ways, rather than seize the state or destroy the state.

Like, I don't think that MLs have the correct strategy to implement anything anticapitalist, I see flaws in there that you probably agree with as an anarchist; but maybe they do, what do I know. In that way you could also describe me as no nomenclature.

Yeah sure I get it. The way I see, once you get further left than socdem the differences become a bit more strategical in nature (as opposed to different objectives). I usually don't front with how I would do it because I don't matter, and I could easily be wrong.
