Blocking you now, as it's clear you're not here for genuine reasons. You're using this issue to attack the current government. You're not interested in the truth. You're disgusting.

Wrong. Now you're posting lies. I'm disgusted by your blatant lies. You don't care about us survivors at all.

It was Starmer, as DPP, who changed the rules to make police take allegations seriously. Read the article from 2013.

Keir Starmer says new child abuse trial guidelines are 'biggest shift for generation'
New guidance on the prosecution of cases involving child sexual abuse, described as the biggest shift in attitude

It wasn't a local inquiry. The current government has only been in power 6 months.

Why are you ignoring where responsibility really lies? As a CSA survivor, I find it insulting that you appear to be trying to score political points off the issues rather than be interested in the truth.

I'm a survivor of CSA, by the way.

There's already been a huge public enquiry. The report was released in 2022. The Tory government decided to ignore all the recommendations made. Starmer has only been PM for 6 months. In 2013, as DPP, he made huge positive changes to the way claims were investigated.

Hope that clarifies things.

We may speak the same language as Americans, but we have a lot more in common with our European neighbours. We like national health care - it's a basic human right. We don't want guns. We support protecting the vulnerable in our communities.

Twitter is not representative of the consensus of opinions in the UK. It's mostly far right nutjobs. We've recently had an election; Labour won with a landslide.
January 5, 2025 at 10:57 PM
I do take them seriously, which is why I'm still on twitter countering their bs. However, I do also know that most Brits don't use twitter and don't like Musk. MAGAts make the mistake of thinking the UK wants the same MAGA crap over here. We hate MAGA and Trump.

He can't be squeezed out because he literally owns Reform UK Party Ltd.
January 5, 2025 at 10:41 PM
I've just reported him for that post where he wishes harm on the parents of trans kids. What a disgusting person he is.
January 5, 2025 at 10:38 PM
Because twitter is pretty much irrelevant to the majority of the electorate in the UK. Musk is talking to his far right extremist bubble that is Twitter. Musk doesn't influence us for the most part. If anything, he's just making us dislike him more.

Real life Idiocracy.
December 1, 2024 at 10:43 PM
They don't want to be seen to be challenging what half the population says was a properly conducted democratic vote. It sucks.
December 1, 2024 at 10:40 PM
Starmer is holding back because there are still loads of Labour voters who are anti-EU because they don't trust what they consider to be a bureaucracy. Personally, I'd say sod the Lexiteers. Most of them are Corbynites anyway.
December 1, 2024 at 10:38 PM
That's where Putin's plan backfired. He thought it would do huge damage to both. The EU, though, is doing fine without the UK. We're suffering terribly as a result, though. We just need to find a way to get back in. Hopefully Starmer sees sense eventually.
December 1, 2024 at 10:36 PM
I don't think the elections were clean either. The problem is proving it. 😢
I just hope you guys are OK over there, esp those who didn't vote for him.
December 1, 2024 at 10:34 PM
Absolutely. I hope the UK government ban him from entering the UK from now on considering his repeated attacks and calls for civil war here.
December 1, 2024 at 10:31 PM
Putin paid to get Brexit done. That woke a lot of Brits up to the scale of foreign interference and the pure lies being pushed on Social Media & certain main stream Media sources too. Because we were the testing ground for the 2016 US Elections, we didn't fall for it again this year.
December 1, 2024 at 10:30 PM
We've got Elmo saying he'll donate £100k to Farage's campaign in the 2029 elections to help Reform win. That's completely illegal under our laws & Reform doesn't stand a chance. The world needs to do something about Elmo.
December 1, 2024 at 10:26 PM
I hope the US survives the next four years of Trump. I'm not sure he'll last the full term, mind, and Vance might actually be worse. How do you undo the brainwashing of half the population? We have a similar issue in the UK, but it's around 14% here.
