We finally made it to our home Prefecture of Miyagi! We're just one or two steps away from being fully operational in a new home, but I'm not mad at this view of Shiogama from our short-term rental, either!

My first hot meal in Japan was eaten at 4am at an udon shop in a Tochigi service station. Noodles were cooked in about 40 seconds and total was about $5 USD. I really appreciated the rack of assorted tempura options you could add! (the kakiage spoke to me the loudest) #japan #料理

In the months and weeks leading up to the move, I've just been on auto pilot getting through all the preo work and the move hasn't really felt real.
Today it finally sank in, seeing my husband and dog walking down a Japanese street in a small Japanese town. We really did move to Japan. 🌸💞
