After 2 delays, cat had her appt. - 5 teeth taken, stitches, & meds. Soft food for 2 wks, must drink more H2O. She has FORL, (common cat tooth thing), must go for yearly check-ups. Text, reading: Today by Teddy Christoffersen, Organizer. The vet called, and they want to take a urine sample because apparently even if they say her blood test was fine, then now they tell me that there is a slight elevation in her kidney levels. So they want to do the test to make sure she is ok. That is about 700 Swedish kronor/68 USD/61 Euro. Couldn't they have said that last week? Text: Marlene here, with an update. Firstly, thanks to those who shared our posts, & endless gratitude to all who were able to donate. Because of your kindness & generosity, Korken was able to have her initial exam at the vet. Teddy's been overwhelmed with joy & relief at having been able to get her beloved kitty this far, though she's also nervously awaiting the results of blood tests. We don't yet know exactly what Korken needs beyond a more extensive dental exam (which will require her to be anesthetized), but the vet estimated treatment could cost up to 6,000 Swedish kronor (roughly 600 USD/550 Euros) or more, depending on what the blood tests show, so our fundraising has a way to go before we're out of the woods. Should we raise our intended goal or beyond, any unused funds will go into a special account solely for Korken's future check-ups or medical needs. More updates when the results come in. Until then, please keep us in your positive thoughts, & keep spreading the word.
