My grandad joined under-aged because you got a free pair of boots. He was a poor East Ender. Was a despatch rider. And yes, he too died in his fifties.

Its interesting that Rubio nominated her in 2024. I'm guessing it was really the US nominating her to cause trouble for Venezuela - the US wants its oil.

That decision has backfired big time!

Btw have you seen the Michael Palin prog on Venezuela? Explains a lot.

Or they'd wait a day or 2 before they did. Knowing you'd be worrying. 😼

I'm suspicious this ID announcement seems fully formed, yet there were no leaks that it was coming. How long has it been planned? The emphasis on 'right to work' is unnecessary if the ID is to cover everything. And is it just a coincidence the Americans were recently here in force?

I'm old: my school was an ex grammar school, and the teachers were old. They taught us the Cavaliers were the goodies. Only decades later I realised I'd been taught by the last vestiges of the British Empire. Luckily I went to a Welsh uni so now I'm an old leftie

I was in hospital at 4 years old in the 60s. It was just like the pic on the left. Only saw my parents during visiting hours. 4 years old!
But when my own daughter was in hosp at a similar age I was with her all the time. Slept on chairs. A huge contrast.

He was my dads neighbour when they were young. He sent a Christmas card to dad every year. His working class London roots were important to him. We called him Stampy.

A generation are leaving ...

Welcome to the club. I'd advice not going down the dietary / alternative medicine (gold?!) route. Sadly only good old fashioned NHS drugs will keep it at bay. Best of luck.

Something is going on with blood testing. I can easily get tested at local community hospital with quick results but have to wait c6 weeks to get tested at docs - and then prompt them for results. Must be separate systems

I was thinking about the violence and nudity depicted. Who designed it? I can imagine Odo, like a Trump, saying 'I want severed limbs, fire, ...'.

There are so many questions!

Thank you. Is it certain that it was embroidered by women? Are there other surviving examples of their work?

I used to get them. Makes you wonder who do you follow who might be influencing the algorithm. I stopped following some accounts i guessed might be interested in such 'confident' men. Seems to have worked

That's gorgeous. Thank you for sharing.

True. I think the public has already sussed that. Add to that the constant stream of messages from a variety of apps.
