RIP Denis Law, great player from a time when it was still possible to not hate Manchester United. Played under Shankly at Huddersfield, and would have been a Liverpool player had the board back then agreed to stump up. It led to a shake up. Saw him play in the flesh on many occasions. A gentleman.

Coffee alone in St Macaire as Christmas approaches. Great little patisserie. Worth the 2mile walk in, even if I didn't need the pharmacie!

Nothing like having to mow even the smaller lawns when they're wet, but as it's going to chuck it down all week, I had no choice...until the petrol ran out!

Proper snowy day in Luxembourg today...getting heavier, too. Tomorrow it's back to St Macaire for me, where you may see a bit of snow every 10 years or so. Glad to be here with my beloved @mmedebeauvoir.bsky.social for this today.

RIP the one and only Vic Flick, the session player's session player. You may not know the name, but you've heard him on literally thousands of recordings, not least of all the James Bond theme. The man Jimmy Page used to go to to learn from.

For the first time in three weeks the sun is out in Luxembourg! However, snow forecast for this afternoon and tonight and all day tomorrow! That scenery may change drastically!

Roger Hunt...the modern player before modern players. Hunt remains Liverpool's record league goalscorer with 244 goals, all scored on crappy old pitches with heavy, wet leather balls at a time when having your legs broken was par for the course.
