Sam the rural health advoCATe is already worried, and he has only viewed the synopsis. The emphasis on "efficiency" and "systems" provides an avenue to bypass rural providers. In a prior MACPAC report, all rural home health agencies were "inefficient" -- b/c of drive time.

Sustainable access: Help rural providers become long-term access points for care by improving efficiency and sustainability. With RHT Program support, rural facilities work together—or with high-quality regional systems—to share or coordinate operations, technology, primary and specialty care, and emergency services.

In other news: Sam's guardian is doing last minute checks for a presentation to be given tomorrow. When the materials were prepared a month ago, CDC WONDER age-adjusted death data did not extend past 2020. As of today, it's not there at all. Guardian is NOT happy.
